The Universal Waite Pocket Edition is the pocket-sized version of a popular tarot deck, the Rider-Waite Tarot, and it’s meant to provide a general overview of tarot readings. The deck includes 78 cards, and 52 are traditional tarot images, while the other 14 are Lord of the Tarot cards, which are notably different.
You may remember last year’s Universal Waite Pocket Edition, which offered up a tarot deck and accompanying guidebook that was small enough to slip into a pocket or purse. This year’s release is basically the same, but with a few changes.
The Universal Waite Pocket Edition 2019 presents a new artist’s interpretation of each of the 78 cards, giving them a more minimalist look that helps to bring them to the foreground. These cards also have new symbols that were added to each card, tying the images of the cards to the meaning of the card. The deck itself has an overall darker tone, giving it more visual appeal.
The Pocket Waite is a handy little deck of standalone cards, a great, inexpensive first deck to study.

Universal Waite Rivew
The Universal Waite Tarot is a calm deck that is ideal for meditation and readings. The deck is a relaxing and attractive addition to the standard Rider-Waite deck. Mary Hanson-Roberts has recolored Pamela Colman Smith’s artwork in a stunning manner.
It’s an excellent learning deck. It will make your life 100 times easier and help you maintain your motivation to learn each card – the Universal Rider Waite is the best of all the Rider Waite versions, in my opinion, because it is the prettiest, the coloration is balanced and straightforward, saturated enough that it works harmoniously with everything.

In conclusion, the Universal Waite Pocket Edition is a great, portable version of the tarot deck. The cards are printed on satin paper, and the wood grain effect makes for an earthy, organic feel. The guidebook is printed on glossy paper, and this contrast works nicely. The deck comes in a beautiful wooden box. The overall quality of the cards and the guidebook make this deck an excellent purchase.
